Development Manager within R&D Medical Devices

We are now searching for a strategic and result-driven Development Manager for our Hardware & Consumables Development within R&D Medical Devices, to manage, coordinate and develop our collaborations within Hardware and Consumables across two sites (Aarhus and Gothenburg).
This is a Full-time, permanent position based in Aarhus, Denmark. Occasional travel is required.
The Role
As the Development Manager for Hardware & Consumables development, you will lead our development teams in Aarhus and Gothenburg, setting the benchmark for quality and innovation for the development function (Hardware and Consumables) within Medical Devices, ensuring clear priorities, establish/optimisation of processes and securing timely deliverables in close collaboration with project management and your other colleagues in R&D Medical Devices.
You will be covering product development within product groups like (but not limited to): Time-lapse, dishes, pipettes, tubes, needles, media and oils.
You will be a key enabler in shaping and realising our strategic goals within R&D Medical Devices.
You will be a part of the Management Team, within R&D Medical Devices and report directly to Vice President R&D Medical Devices.
Your Key Responsibilities
Develop, manage and inspire teams in Aarhus and Gothenburg covering Hardware (mechanics and electronics) and Consumables development (mechanical and media)
Responsible for the technical solutions being developed within Hardware and consumables, as well as hands-on contributor, supporting solving various design- and engineering challenges.
Ensure the right balance of the solutions developed - considering innovation height, various risk, regulatory, validation and time.
Establish and maintain a performance culture based on project deliverables and defined KPIs.
Set and manage priorities and resource allocation - ensuring alignment with R&D Medical Device focus areas and prioritised projects.
Organise and facilitate high-level product demonstrations and technical discussions to align on requirements, solutions and capabilities.
Establishing long-lasting collaboration with external partners supporting development activities.
Ensure seamless communication with technical, regulatory and commercial stakeholders, including (but not limited to) our Research team, Project Managers, Product Management, Product Care, Supply Chain, QA and Market Access etc.
Your Profile
Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field. Previous experience in product development (Medical Devices), mechatronics product development and project management roles is highly valued.
Minimum 5+ years of experience of leading technical teams and minimum 10+ years with hands-on product development, with a double-digit number of product launches.
Confident communicator with ability to facilitate both high-level and detailed technical discussions.
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, prioritise initiatives, and deliver on commitments.
You posses an innovative mindset and have experience in balancing radical and incremental innovations.
You are a strong collaborator, solution-oriented, proactive and a strategic thinker
You are organised, structured and loves when a good plan comes together.
Fluent in Danish and English - written and oral. Proficiency in Swedish is a plus.
