We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Lead Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing accounts receivable functions, optimizing collection strategies, and ensuring timely payments while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and follow up on patient account receivables to ensure prompt collection of overdue balances.

• Review and reconcile patient accounts, ensuring accuracy of billing information.

• Identify efficiencies in billing and collections processes and facilitate improvements to streamline process.

• Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing and payment inquiries in a timely manner

• Resolve billing disputes and credit issues, working closely with customers and internal teams.

• Process incoming payments and issue refunds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.

• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and account status updates.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.

• Proven experience in accounts receivable or collections (5+ years preferred).

• Healthcare industry is a preferred

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques

• Working knowledge of MS Office and databases

• Comfortable working with targets

• Patience and ability to manage stress

• Ability to work independently

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

• Comfortable with multiple channels of communication including phone calls

• Problem-solving skills
